Social Development
NICDAM designs, develops and executes projects in response to the social needs of society and communities in the following areas: victim empowerment, gender-based violence (GBV), psychosocial support to victims, post violence care, trauma management, debriefing, human trafficking, child and youth care, including orphaned and vulnerable children, and migrant children in vulnerable positions, care of older persons, volunteerism, HIV and AIDS and restoration and healing.
Our services include interventions to support victims of violence and support secondary victims in schools, universities and communities, ad hoc interventions for specific needs and community conversations designed to address the causes of violence.
NICDAM has learning programme approval from the HWSETA to present qualifications in child and youth care, social auxiliary work and victim empowerment. Skills programmes extracted from these qualifications are also offered. NICDAM has executed assignments in crosscutting issues such as mainstreaming of gender, strengthening communities of diversity and peace and volunteerism.
